What kind of treatment do you offer?

Dr. McAllister sees patients for psychotherapy, psychoanalysis and medication management.  

What can I expect to happen in my first appointment?

The first appointment is one hour long. In this appointment, we will gather history, define what needs to be treated, work on an accurate diagnosis, and discuss treatment plan options.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Please contact Dr. McAllister’s office via email to schedule an appointment. You can also use the Book an appointment button on this website.  

What is your appointment cancellation policy?

To avoid being charged for a missed appointment, please provide 24-hour notice for your cancellation.  

What is the best way to contact you?

Please use email primarily for communicating logistical information such as scheduling appointments. Clinical information and advice cannot be sent via email.    

What is the cost for each session?

Dr. McAllister’s fees range from $350 - $450/hour depending on the type of appointment and treatment. Telemedicine and phone sessions are available for the same rates.  

What forms of payment do you accept?

A credit card number is requested at the initiation of treatment in order to ensure prompt payment. If you choose to make your payment with a credit card, your card will be charged at the end of the month.  

Do you accept insurance?

Dr. McAllister is an out-of-network doctor and does not deal directly with insurance carriers. Her administrative manager, Kelly Butler, (kelly@oakstreetbookkeeping.com) will provide an invoice with billing codes for you to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement.  

Do you prescribe medication?

Yes, if warranted for the patient’s condition.
